Transcript: Even though Mercury is the closest to the sun, the hottest planet in our solar system is Venus. Its thick atmosphere is full of the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide, and it has clouds of sulfuric acid. The atmosphere traps heat, making it feel like a furnace on the surface. Its surface temperature is more than 450 degrees Celsius/842 degrees Fahrenheit! Very interesting!
