Transcript: The original purpose of bubble wrap was to be used as 3D wallpaper! In 1957, Alfred Fielding and Marc Chavannes wanted to create textured wallpaper. They sealed together two shower curtains with air bubbles trapped inside but quickly realized the wallpaper was not popular. Eventually a new purpose was found, mainly for packing and shipping. Very interesting!
