Happy National STEM Day! We celebrate this day by doing ASL storytelling about our research — using only the numbers 1-5.
We also want to see your 1-5 STEM stories! Tag us when you post your stories! Be creative! Go wild! #NationalSTEMDay #steminasl
Context of our ASL stories:
Barbara: I was installing a photosynthesis chamber in the rocky intertidal to measure photosynthesis rate of an intertidal kelp.
Alicia: I was observing my test tubes and choosing one with the right amount of liquid to pipette out for an experiment.
[Video description: Alicia, an Asian woman wearing a green shirt, is sitting in front of a white background with a brown/blue frame on the wall. Barbara, a white woman wearing a black shirt, is standing in front of a white wall with multiple frames hung. Photos show throughout the video showing their research work. Two photos show Barbara with another person on top of mossy rocks with equipment. Other photos show Alicia pouring orange liquid into test tubes and using equipment to pipette liquids. At the end, a white background appears with the Atomic Hands logo.]
