Atomic Hands is looking for one new individual to join the current Atomic Hands board of directors. This individual will serve as a member at large for the current board of directors with a focus on fundraising and grant writing.
The ideal candidate must have experience or proven knowledge in fundraising and/or grant writing or have the ability to effectively guide the organization toward financial self-sufficiency. Prior fundraising or grant writing experience with non-profit organizations is highly preferred. This position will continue with the current 2023-2025 term which will start immediately and end on October 1st, 2025 unless re-elected.
Board members can live anywhere in the United States. The position is voluntary based and will require the ability to effectively communicate using American Sign Language (ASL). Minimum expectations of the board of directors would include:
– 2-hour quarterly meeting (virtual)
– One yearly retreat (in-person)
– Run the fundraising/grant writing committee
– 1-2 hours per week of organizing, email discussions & votes, fundraising, etc.
– Possess the characteristics of being a self-starter, active participator and servant leader
– Comply with organization’s bylaws and policies/procedures
